The Story Continues

Last time I talked about the major renovation that we did in the church. Our theme for the renovation was "Journey in Faith." We printed brochures, and a booklet with plans, money to be raised, and our reasons for the renovation. All of this was preliminary work but the real work came when we had to pack items in the kitchen and store in other parts of the church. Thanks to the many volunteers we managed to get it done. It was ready when the carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and heating contractors were ready for their work. We held our Sunday school classes in the Catholic school building. We appreciated their willingness to let us meet there. We were most grateful to them. When construction was finished we rolled up our sleeves and went to work putting things back in order. Some of the ladies cleaned the tile floors in the front entrances on their knees. They scrubbed, scoured and prayed that they would be able to get up. When it was all painted, dusted , scrubbed and put back in order everything looked so neat and clean, I am sure the Lord looked down on His house and said "Well done, good and faithful servants". It was beautiful.
