The Side Show

As we made plans for a church camp-out, we would try to come up with a theme. One year we decided to have a carnival theme and what is a carnival without a side show. This year we parked two motor homes side by side, hung sheets between then and we were in business. Two of the attractions were the fat lady and the cowboy straight from the wild west. We cut peep holes in the sheets and our famous people were a vision to behold. The fat lady with her orange wig and numerous pillows was a sight to behold. The cowboy from the west was attired in authenic garb plus blazing guns [water guns] and each person soon knew what it was to have rain in the face. Talk about shocked reactions, the screams attested to that. We always had a church service around the campfire with communion. We would then gather around the tables for Terry Geberin's sausage gravy and biscuits. The fellowship was great. Memories are made of this.
