My True Friend

It was a Sunday Afternoon and it was raining. I had come home from Church, fixed my lunch and had a short nap. It was one of those lazy kind of days. I got my pad and pen to write my blog page. My mind was as lazy as the day . What to write about. I was about to put pen and pad down as nothing seemed to inspire me. Then all of a sudden this little ball of black fur jumped on my lap and settled down for her nap. Her name is Amie, French for pal or friend, and she is truly my friend. She is three years old and yes, she is a toy poodle. When you hear the statement, a dog is man's best friend, believe it. It is true. My husband died three years ago in April and my kids bought her for my birthday that year. She loves me even when I scold her. When she thinks I am no longer aggravated at her, she jumps right back on my lap, snuggles down and gives a sigh and takes another nap. She has complete trust and faith that I love her as much as she loves me. She is my shadow and greets everyone that comes to my door. I am so thankful that our God created creatures that love us unconditionally.
