A Birthday Party in Peru

The Morning Bible study had a Birthday Party for the church. Our lesson for this month was on Pentacost, the birthday of the church. We had balloons, happy birthday napkins and a birthday cake with candles. We shared our birthdays that were memorable for us. Judy Byrd mentioned her 10th birthday. She was in the hospital with diphtheria. When she awoke on the morning of her birthday, the Nuns had flowers and presents for her birthday. She was quite surprised at their thoughtfulness. This was a hospital in Germany were Judy was born and raised.
Kathy Hahn remembered a birthday when she asked for a cake with green icing. Her mother baked a cake and it was iced with what else, green icing!. I remembered my 6th birthday when I had a party with invited friends and it was at my grandmother's house. Our birthdays are important to us personally but the birthday of the church is important to all as it is the day God poured forth His spirit on all mankind.
