Heavenly Food

I have always liked to cook and I started cooking at the early age of nine. I like to watch the food channel and I have many cook books, with pages falling out and stained with different foods I have cooked over the years. That brings to mind the ladies who cooked the most delicious food in the kitchen at First Presbyterian Church. Aunt Carrie Geberin seemed to be head cook as she purchased the food to be used and she insisted on the best possible price. Mrs. Byers made the hot rolls. Oh, that heavenly smell that came from those rolls as they were baking. Mrs Carruthers always made the dressing for the chicken casseroles. The dressing was carefully placed in the bottom of the pan. Mrs. Spencer sometimes made clam chowder for our lunch. Butter and cream went into the most delicious chowder I have ever eaten. If there is a kitchen in heaven I am sure those dear ladies are laughing happily as they prepare that heavenly food.
